MY RETURN JOURNEY

The return journey to Paris, in 1968, through South-East Asia
We left Hobart, André Santu and me, on March 7th, 1968. We flew to Singapore, then after a few travel stages either by train or by bus, we arrived in Bangkok (Thailand). Still by train, we travelled to Chiang Mai, then returned to Bangkok. From there we flew to Phnom Penh (Cambodia). By bus, we journeyed to Siem Reap, near the temples of Angkor, and , after that, we went back to Phnom Penh. We flew, then, to Calcutta (India) and, afterwards, we reached by train the Nepal border. From the border we proceeded by bus to Kathmandu (Nepal). We flew to Pokhara and from there we walked 200 km on a trek to Jomosom and return to Pokhara. We flew back to Kathmandu and then to New Dehli (India). Several stages of flight brought us finally to Paris where we arrived on May 28th, 1968.
